QUICK: What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the words “Turkish Get-ups”? April 30, 2008

They are GREAT!
There are some things that I love because of the sheer repetition, like sit-ups or push-ups. Some because I like the fact that I’m concuring my fears, like Push-Presses, and others simply because I KNOW how good they are to my body like Kettlebell Swings, or… Turkish Get-Ups (this one is of a guy using his wife as the weight, which adds an interesting twist) . But when I hear those words, I think of pain and process.
Warmup:
- 30 Body-weight squats
- 30 American Swings
- 30 Push-ups
- 30 Ketttlebell Squats @ 2 16 kg
- 30 Double Kettlebell Swings @ 2 16 kg
Workout:
- 3x: 10 Turkish Get-ups w/a Dumbbell: 20 lbs, 25 lbs, 35 lbs
- Thrusters:
- 21 @ 65 lbs
- 15 @ 95 lbs
- 10 @ 105 lbs
- 4x:
- 300 M Row
- 30 Box Jumps
- 30 Decline Push-ups
