Making a deal with the devil September 9, 2008

I think she makes a great point about holding our elected Representatives accountable. But, to hold your own health goals hostage while waiting for Congress to get is act together? Yeah, that’s a pact with the Devil.
How often do you hold your own workout goals hostage to a pact you’ve made? How about not doing that?
Set your own goals, and then work towards them. I’m not a big proponent of the ‘losing 5 lbs’ goal, and some ideas that might help improve your fitness:
- Going to get prepared to run a 5K this fall.
- Beat my personal best in doing 6 minutes of sit-ups.
- Run 1 second faster in my mile time.
Every workout you do should have you looking at a previous personal best and going after your former self. Then, when you do it (and you will) notice it, write it down. All part of laughing in the face of the Devil!
